As of my last update in April 2023, here are five vehicles known for having particularly challenging battery replacement processes due to their wiring complexity and engine placement:

1. Chrysler Pacifica (especially hybrid models): 

The battery in these vehicles is notoriously difficult to access. For the hybrid version, the 12-volt auxiliary battery, which powers the electronics (not the main hybrid battery), is often located in an inconvenient spot under the front passenger seat, requiring the removal of the seat and sometimes part of the interior flooring to access.

2. BMW 5 Series (F10) and some other BMW models: 

BMW likes to place batteries in the trunk or under the rear seat to improve weight distribution. While this is great for handling, it can make battery replacement a more involved process, requiring the removal of trim panels and dealing with complex wiring setups.

3. Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W212 and similar generations): 

Mercedes-Benz vehicles often have their batteries located in the trunk or under the rear seats as well, with the E-Class being no exception. Accessing the battery can require navigating through the vehicle's sophisticated electronic systems and carefully managing the complex wiring.

4. Audi Q7: 

The Audi Q7's battery is located under the driver's seat, requiring not just the removal of the seat but also dealing with the vehicle's electrical system and ensuring that none of the settings are lost in the process. It's a procedure that often necessitates specialized tools and knowledge.

5. Porsche 911 (991 and newer models): 

The battery replacement in a Porsche 911 can be tricky due to its location in the front trunk (frunk) area and the need to remove various panels and parts to access it. Moreover, dealing with the car's sophisticated electronics without disrupting any system settings adds another layer of complexity.
